Announcing the Summer 2020 Sturgis Youth Theatre Summer Fun Production:  James and the Giant Peach!

A Magic Mirror. An evil Queen. A beautiful Princess and Seven outrageous Dwarfs will find their way to the stage this summer as the Sturgis Youth Theatre presents the loved classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We want YOU to be a part of the FUN!

Rehearsals June 24-July 18

Public performances are at the Bertha Martin Theatre in the Strayer-Wood Theatre building at Hudson and 27th Streets on the UNI campus July 18-20 at 7:00 p.m., Friday July 19 at 10:30 a.m., Saturday and Sunday July 20 and 21 at 2:00 p.m.

For students going into Grades 4 and up!

At our FABULOUS HOME at the Strayer-Wood Theatre Building, Bertha Martin Theatre, on the UNI Campus!

Students who will enter grades 4 or higher in the fall are invited to participate in a four week long “theatre camp” that will culminate in six public performances of the stage adaption of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  Filled with adventure, imagination and memorable characters, this play has plenty of parts for everyone who wants to participate.

Here’s how it works!  Simply “register” for the Sturgis Youth Theatre’s Summer Fun Production program BY MAIL ONLY beginning Monday April 15.  The fun officially begins with a “company meeting” for all camp participants and their parent(s) on Sunday June 23  from 3:00-4:15.

Rehearsals and production work will take place between June 24 and July 17 at the Bertha Martin Theatre.  Times of rehearsals:  3:30-6:00 and 6:30-8:30 Monday thru Thursday; 3:30-6:00 p.m. Fridays; 1:00-3:00 and 3:30-6:00 Sundays July 7 and 14. No rehearsals July 2-4, OR Saturdays July 6 and 13.

Students are asked to be available for AT LEAST ONE of the rehearsal sessions each week day, and for at least ONE of each of the weekend rehearsals.Please note that student availability does impact casting options.  EVERYONE MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL TIMES BEGINNING SUNDAY JULY 14 NO EXCEPTIONS.
