We once again have the pleasure on being featured in Arts Overlook in honor of opening our show, Mauritius, this weekend.

Graphics Lab

The Department of Theatre introduced a lab to the Graphics Room this Spring Semester. The purpose of this lab is to help the students with drafting and Production assignments.

Workshops Offered to Cornerstone Students

This last Saturday, the Department hosted three more workshops for any students participating in the Cornerstone program.

Mauritius Design Presentation

On January 21st the Department of Theatre hosted a Design Presentation to introduce the first show of the spring semester Mauritius.

Dedication of the Strayer-Wood Lobby

On Saturday, November 2nd directly following a performance of Spring Awakening we dedicated our lobby in the Strayer-Wood in honor of Kenneth G. Butzier. Kenneth was a drama and speech director at the Malcolm Price Laboratory School. 

The second mainstage production of our Fall season was featured on Arts Overlook this week.

Departmental Meeting

On Friday, September 6, members of the department got together for about an hour to talk about summer theatre internships.

Kickoff Meeting for Theatre UNI!

On Sunday night (8/25) we welcomed a new group of students into the department! In addition to greeting close to 30 new students, auditions for the two fall shows got underway and will continue until Thursday.

Over Spring Break, several students from our department attended the United States Institute of Theatre Technology conference in Milwaukee, and participated in the Tech Olympics event there, covering every event. Competitors  included:
