Auditions for TheatreUNI's 2021-22 season!

Auditions are open to all UNI students. Announcements about auditions will be posted in Inside UNI. 

All UNI students are invited to audition for the TheatreUNI Fall 2020 productions. Here is information about show dates and audition procedures:

Romeo and Juliet:

September 25, 26 - 7:30

September 27 - 2:00

October 1, 2, 3 - 7:30

Our guest lighting designer for RENT was Chris Wood, who is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Lighting Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Chris has a working relationship with Elation Professional Lighting Products, and he arranged for them to provide us with a significant

Several of our students will be embarking on cross country journeys in order to participate in their summer internships. Although they are going a bit far from home, they are positive that the work they will accomplish this coming summer will benefit them greatly for years to come.

Theatre UNI Alumni Visit from Commonweal Theatre

Our alumni go across the world in pursuit of their dream, others stay close to home in hopes of spreading the world of theatre to those in our own backyard.

The Great God Pan

"Theatre UNI Presents The Great God Pan. It’s been over 25 years since Jamie has been with his childhood friend, Frank, and now, in the midst of a blossoming career and personal life, Frank tells Jamie that he may have been a victim of sexual abuse as a child.

This past Monday afternoon, The Department had the privilege of hosting a workshop featuring former alumnae of the Department, Sarah Noll.

Theatre for Youth Students Trip to the Rose

The weekend of January 16th and 17th six Theatre for Youth students were given the opportunity to travel to Omaha, Nebraska to the Rose Theatre to interview and audition for one of the Rose’s coveted Summer Internships or year long fellowships.

Iowa Thespian Festival 2014

Nathan Jorgensen, a Senior at the University of Northern Iowa studying Communication - Theatre - Teaching, is well underway of his 2nd year as the Student Festival Coordinator for the Iowa Thespians Festival.
